About the session
The lockdown has forced family members to be confined to their houses, but how much engagement is there among them?  The prolonged lockdown has accelerated dependency on devices and social media as means for socialisation with the outside world.  The pressure for parents to cope with managing their children’s online classes while attending work and other domestic duties can sometimes become so overwhelming that patience and passion can sometimes be replaced with anger and frustration.  With all the stress, we sometimes also tend to withdraw from those in the family, taking for granted everyone being together, in the house, while what’s really happening is actually social and emotional distancing from each other.

In this session, we will be reflecting on the quality of our relationship with our spouse/partner and children. We will be identifying red flags and barriers we might be experiencing in daily interaction with our loved ones. We will also be discussing on the ways to improve communication and bridge emotional gaps among each other.

Spouse/partner participation is encouraged.
